Having a wedding in
a
Charleston wedding chapel ?
Seems perfect doesn't it? A small,
quaint, historic wedding chapel in downtown
Charleston to exchange your vows to one another
would be perfect. It sure would.
But you have to remember that you aren't the
only one with the idea of finding a Charleston
wedding chapel for your affair.
Since the county of Charleston averages over
70 weddings each and every weekend, there is
some pretty stiff competition to get the chapel
that you want for your wedding. Consider
Alhambra Hall for example. You have to
call one year in advance at midnight and
be the first to leave a message with them to be
able to have first dibs on it. Thus, if
you are getting married June 7th, 2009, then
you would call them at midnight on June
6th, 2008 to put your name in first.
They will call you back the next business day
and you better be ready to book because they
move on to the next couple pretty quickly.
Some of the same things hold true for
the professional photographers here in
town. We usually get booked about a year
in advance. It amazes many brides who
call us 5-6 months in advance that every
photographer they call is already booked.
My advice is that whether you are looking
for a Charleston wedding chapel or a
photographer or other vendor, you should secure
them early. They only have so many
Saturdays in the year and there is a huge
demand here.
