Five Tips for a Great Photograph

Ladies, here are five tips when you are getting portraits made. You will love pictures of yourself if you follow a few simple rules:

  1. Pull your chin forward. Many women pull their heads back when being photographed. This tends to accentuate that evil double chin. If you pretend that there is a piece of string attached to your chin pulling it slightly towards the camera and away from your neck, you will avoid the extra chin look.
  2. Pull your shoulders back and have great posture. This will open your frame up and make you look younger and healthier.
  3. Put your weight (if standing) on your back foot and take all of your weight off of your front foot. Your back foot is the one furthest from the camera. Your front foot should be angled slightly towards the camera.
  4. Turn slightly. Don’t square up to the camera. By turning your hips and shoulders, you will look slimmer and more feminine.
  5. After turning your body slightly so you are not squared up to the camera, turn your head toward the camera so that your head and shoulders are not aimed the same way.

Just by following these simple rules, you will go a long way in make photographs taken of you much better than they ever have been.
